Long time readers may remember that allll the way back when we first started this blog, we entered a Curvy Kate video competition to win tickets to the UK Lingerie Awards 2013. I feel like you should all go click that link and watch the video now as massive amounts of effort went into it, including smoke bombs and dancing in our underwear in front of car headlights in November…if that’s not dedication to the lingerie cause, I don’t know what is! And as a quick aside, we’ve also recently talked about doing some videos for BCLC, maybe reviews or get to know us type videos – what would you all think of that?
Anyways, so after a lot of canvassing for votes, it was announced that we had won the competition, and next thing we knew, we were arranging outfits and booking trains down to London for the evening. It was completely surreal, walking in down a red carpet that celebrities were also strutting, mingling with top brands and designers, meeting other like minded lingerie addicts and bloggers (as well as all cramming into a tiny photobooth!) and finally, meeting Danny from McFly – oh yes, we’re still raving about that!
So this year (well, last year technically now) we decided to keep an eye on the awards as we become more and more obsessed with the lingerie world, especially since one of us has become addicted to sewing lingerie too and is really starting to understand the effort and work that goes into lingerie design and manufacture! So we decided to take a few minutes to have a look through the list of winners and pick out some of our favourite pieces and say a few words about some of them.
Lingerie Brand of the Year: Gossard
I recently talked about my love for Gossard’s designs, so it’s no surprise to see them up their as the top brand for 2015. Above is the Iris set, available as a bra, waspie suspender, brief and thong. (You can shop this style from the bar above!)

We’re guessing this is for their Star in a Bra campaign, so another resounding yes to this – Curvy Kate do the best marketing campaigns, and we’re proud to get involved in as many as we can with them!
