Panache’s AW16 collection was top of my list to see at Moda, for one big reason which I’ve already let on ever so slightly about already, this:
But there were a few others I’d already spotted beforehand that I was really excited to see, and I was really looking forward to seeing a few new styles, colour ways and, actually, brands, for me at least, with Panache Black which I hadn’t ever seen in person previously.
As we’ve already mentioned, our time at Moda was very limited thanks to trains and illness, so we didn’t get to see absolutely everything. The vast majority of the Panache pieces we had the chance to see were from two of their brands: Cleo and Panache Black. Most of the bras we got a closer look at were the new styles, but there were a few others too, but let’s get on with what you really want to see – here are our previews of Panache in AW16.
Panache Black AW16
Panache Black first – this is an ongoing popular line from the now discontinued brand Masquerade brand: the Ardour. This has always been a popular basic from Panache, so it’s nice to see it continuing. Available in nude, charcoal and black, it’s a wardrobe staple with a little added detail with the scalloped lace on the band and straps and rose embellishment on the gore. The moulded sweetheart bra will be available in sizes 28-38 D-G, and the brazilian brief in sizes 8 to 18, with the new charcoal colour available in August.
This is the Panache Black Quinn in chocolate. This is a new colour way for Panache Black and one which I really like the look of. It could function as a good nude for darker skinned women of colour, which is great to see and one of the trends we picked up on for SS16 actually. I love the keyhole detail at the gore on this and the lace cups. The Panache Black Quinn balconnet bra has a pretty good size range in 30 F-HH, 32-38 D-K, with the brazilian brief available in sizes 8 to 18, and will be available to buy from August.
I’m a big fan of the Panache Black Amara. This is another longline bra with lace detailing and soft cups, which is great to see. It also has matching high waisted briefs which makes it all the more awesome. This will be available from October/November in sizes 28 F-G, 30-38 D-G, with brazilian briefs and high waist brief available in sizes 8 to 18.
The Panache Black Etta is a gorgeous bra – this is one of the ones I intend to buy later in the year. What I love most about it is the simple design – no frills and bows, just straight lines. The balconnet bra will be available in sizes 28 F-G, 30-38 D-G, with a brazilian brief and high waisted brief in sizes 8 to 18, available to buy in October/November.
Cleo by Panache AW16
Yes, yes, we all already know about my obsession with this one! The Cleo Piper is a cobalt longline lace soft cup bra in a new style: the lower cup is 3 parts with 2 vertical seams, with a long horizontal upper cup piece – very “vintage” in looks to me, and it seems like it might be a nicely projected and rounded cup. The longline bra will be available in sizes 28 E-H, 30-38 D-J (quite a broad size range for Cleo really!), with a brazilian brief in sizes 8 to 18, available to buy in September.
The Cleo Mimi bra is a padded balcony style in a grey floral rose print with yellow picot edge detailing. The yellow and grey combo is one I personally love in anything (currently sat on a grey sofa with yellow cushions!) so this is another Cleo bra that I’ll probably be picking up. The cup is in 3 parts with 2 vertical seams, and is currently available in an animal print. The balconnet bra will be available in sizes 28-38 D-H, with briefs in sizes 8-18, available to buy in June/July.
The Cleo Koko Muse is being released again in AW16 (see the SS16 version here) in a cosy grey marl colour with bright pink elastics, trims and detail – another colour combo I’m quite fond of. The Koko Muse is a moulded plunge bra and has the option of J hook fastening on the straps at the back. It will be available in sizes 28 E-GG, 30-38 D-H, with a brief in sizes 8-18, available to buy in August.
The Cleo Breeze is a padded longline bra in a bright floral print with a stand out pink elastic trim along the top cup edge. This is another 3 piece padded cup with 2 vertical seams, and looks similar in construction to one of my all time favourite bras, the Cleo Minnie longline. The longline bra will be available in sizes 28-38 D-H, with a brief and thong both in sizes 8-18, available to buy in August.
The Cleo Morgan is another typical Cleo piece, in a gorgeous bright teal colour with a young and fun contrasting trim in pink. This is a moulded balconnet bra, and is a new style to Cleo for AW16. The lace overlaying visible elastic on the band reminds me a little of the Curvy Kate Ellace. It will be available in sizes 28-38 D-H with a brazilian brief in sizes 8-18, available to buy in September.
The Cleo Della has been popular this season in leopard print, so it’s good to see it released in a new print for AW16. The new print is a pretty floral that contrasts nicely with the black background – interestingly it comes across more red in my photo, but more pink in the catalogue image, so it’ll be interesting to see what the final released one looks like. It is a balconnet bra with a 3 part cup with blue accent bows (not of the “over the top ribbon” kind though). It will be available in sizes 28 E-H, 30-38 D-J, with a suspender brief and brazilian brief both in sizes 8-18, available to buy in September.
These are all the Cleo pieces we got the chance to see, but here are a few snaps of the catalogue showing the other pieces that will be available, some are continuity lines, some are new colourways and some new styles, and a few details on these:
Cleo Hettie is a 3 part balconnet (currently available in navy for SS16) that is a 3 part cup with an upper lace section in black and pink. It will be available in sizes 28 E-H, 30-38 D-J with a brief in sizes 8-18, available from June/July.
Cleo Tilda (debuted in SS16 in coral mesh) is back in AW16 in magenta. It is a moulded balconnet bra, available in sizes 28-38 D-H with a brief in sizes 8-18, available to buy in June/July>

The ever favourable Cleo Marcie is back for AW16 in tangerine, black and a pale shade of beige (nude) in sizes 28 E-H, 30 D-J, with a brief and brazilian brief in sizes 8-18, available from June/July.

Cleo Koko is part of the core continuity range and will be available in a black moulded plunge in sizes 28 E-GG, 30-38 D-H and a caramel moulded strapless bra in sizes 28 E-G, 30-38 D-G, with briefs in sizes 8-18.

The Cleo Blake (which I reviewed in pink here) balconnet bra is being released in a new turquoise fashion colour with black trims for AW16. It will be available in sizes 28 F-H, 30-38 D-J, with a brief in sizes 8-18, available to buy in August.
The new fashion colour of the Cleo Skye balconnet bra for AW16 is magenta and lime. It will be available in sizes 28 F-H, 30-38 D-J, with a brief in sizes 8-18, available to buy in August.
The Cleo Kali is being released in a black and pink colour way for AW16 (and we have a review of the orange coming up soon). The balconnet bra will be available in sizes 28 E-H, 30-38 D-J, with a brief and thong in sizes 8-18, available from September.
The Cleo Lucy balconnet is a well loved part of their core range and will be available in AW16 in black and white in sizes 30-38 D-J with a brief and thong in sizes 8-18.
The Cleo Juna padded balconnet bra is another core bra, available in black, ivory and a pale beige (nude) in sizes 28-38 D-H with a brief and thong in sizes 8-18.
Cleo Swim
The Cleo Swim Hattie is a bikini that is actually far more pink than it appears in this photo (promise!). It is a halterneck bandeau with a gathered bikini brief. It will be available in sizes 28-38 D-G, briefs in sizes 8-18, available in August.
The Cleo Swim Lucille bikini is a non padded balconnet style with a 3 part cup in a geometric monochrome stripe with teal accents – I think this is really effective. It has over the shoulder straps rather than a halter neck, and will be available in sizes 28-38 D-J, with classic bikini briefs in sizes 8-18, available to buy in August.
The Cleo Swim Suki bikini is a moulded plunge bikini with halter neck ties in a blue and yellow floral print over a black and white geometric check, with a gathered bikini brief. It will be available in sizes 28-38 D-G, with the gathered pant in sizes 8-18, available to buy in August.
Panache Sport
The Panache non-wired sports bra will be available in a neon pink (above), blue marl, black and latte in AW16 in sizes 28DD-H, 30 D-H, 32C-H, 34-38 B-H, 40 D-GG.
The Panache wired sports bra will be coming out in some new and old colours in AW16: “Odyssey Print” (blue with mixed watercolour pink on the “gore” area), neon pixel print (above), black, grey and white. It will be available in sizes 28 DD-H, 30 D-H, 32 C-J, 34 B-J, 36 B-HH, 38 B-H, 40 D-GG.
Panache
We only managed to grab 2 pictures of Panache before we needed to leave, but once we have access to all the promo images I’ll try to share more of those because there are some stunners! The Panache Clara bra is a full cup bra in a few gorgeous colour ways: heather, slate/teal, charcoal/black, and a light beige (nude). It will be available in sizes 30-38 D-J with a brief in sizes 8-20. Heather will be available in June/July, slate/teal from October/November.
