Ewa Michalak is one of the most famed names in the Polish fuller bust industry, in fact, I’d say one of the most well known names in the fuller bust industry around the world. If you struggle with finding bras to fit you well because you’re a somewhat unusual size (such as small band, large cup, unusually big cup or large band) or if you struggle with finding bras with wires narrow enough for your shape or projected enough in the cups, you’ve probably been recommended Ewa Michalak. And if no one’s mentioned them to you, I’ll recommend them now!

I’ve tried several different Ewa Michalak styles over the years since I first discovered them, and I have to admit that they are probably my most consistently well-fitting bras. In addition to that, I think their styles are generally quite versatile, with a range of basics as well as new collections of more on-trend designs, including recent ones such as their harnesses. You can see a selection of the Ewa Michalak styles and sizes we’ve reviewed on the blog below:
- BM Bibi Black – 65FF
- PL Croptop Maskarada – 65G
- S Syrena – 65G; M Syrena – 70D
- Nina Top Miekki – 65G
- 3D Satine – 70D
- CHP Cappuccino – 65DD
- CHP Owoce Lesne – 65G
The only problem with Ewa Michalak bras is that their style names can be confusing to a first-timer. As you can see above, these use a combination of letters and numbers to describe different styles, some of which are quite similar, some are very different.
So we’ve decided to put together the experience we’ve had with Ewa Michalak bras in the past, plus we spoke to the team at Ewa Michalak to get a little bit of insider insight, to provide a handy guide to the bra styles and names you’ll find there, what each of these styles mean, how they fit different shapes and so on. Hopefully this is helpful!

Ewa Michalak Bra Style Names
(These are ordered as they are in the dropdown menu on the Ewa Michalak website for ease.)
M – a padded plunge bra designed for smaller cup sizes. These have removable cookie pads in the cups and usually have a fairly projected shape with a tight band.
3D – a padded plunge bra designed for smaller to medium cup sizes. These have removable cookie pads in the cups and a low neckline.
3DM – an unpadded plunge bra designed for smaller to medium cup sizes. These give a rounded cup shape and are fairly projected with a low neckline.
BM – an unpadded balconette bra designed for fuller busts. These are known for narrow wires, a good level of projection and deep cups with a medium neckline. The top cup piece is designed with stretch lace and provides a slightly higher level of coverage than other Ewa Michalak bras. I personally have to size down in the cups for this style.
CH – a padded half cup bra with 2 vertical seams that produce a pushed up shape. This style has removable cookies in the cup, a low and wide neckline and a projected style. These are good for full on top breast shapes. In comparison to the similar HP style, this pushes your breast tissue forwards and upwards more. The underwires are higher at the gore than the PL but lower than the HM style.

CHP – a padded half cup bra with 2 vertical seams for an “apple” style cleavage and removable cookie pads. These are good for full on top breast shapes. This is a cross between the CH and HP styles, but with a wire similar to the S style.
HP – this is no longer on the site but is very similar to the CH and CHP styles. I think you’d call this a half cup plunge style as it had a lower neckline but still had 2 vertical seams, good for full on top shapes.
FB – a semi-soft balconette bra designed for larger cup and band sizes. Semi-soft bras have a thin but strong fabric in the lower cup and soft upper cup. They have a medium neckline, a projected shape, and have a reinforced layer of fabric for heavier breasts. This style comes with silicone pads to sit under the straps for more comfort when wearing. You may need to size up in the band and down in the cup for this style.
FC/S – an S style (padded balconette) with an added high apex lace overlay that extends to the shoulders for a higher level of coverage in the cups. This has removable cookies.
FC/SMN – an SM style (unpadded balconette) with an added high apex lace overlay that extends to the shoulders for a higher level of coverage in the cups.
HM – an unpadded half cup bra with a low neckline designed with a vertical seam for a rounded shape, similar to the BM but with higher wires at the gore, and designed for small to medium cup sizes.
KM – a nursing bra. This will usually have another code alongside it to show which style it’s based on, but will have a nursing clip at the straps to remove the cup for breastfeeding.
Multiway – a bra with straps that can be removed and fastened in a different way. This will usually have another code alongside it to show which style it’s based on.

PL – a padded plunge bra with a low neckline and low plunging gore. This is designed for all cup sizes but works best for full on bottom shapes and wider roots. It has a good level of projection and provides a high level of cleavage in the middle.
S – a padded balconette bra designed for medium to larger cup sizes. Where the half cups have vertical seams, this has the standard 3 part cup with a higher neckline and balcony shape. It comes with removable cookies. This style has a good level of projection, narrow wires and a peaked cup which is good for softer tissue.
SF – Semi Soft – a balconette bra with a thin but strong material in the lower cup and an unpadded soft upper cup. This is a version of the S style above with the same shape and neckline. It is good for softer breast tissue.
SM – an unpadded balconette bra. This is the unpadded version of the S style above. It differs from the BM as it has a lower level of coverage and a slightly lower neckline with no stretch lace on the upper cup. It has a subtle peak, has a good level of centre projection and a rounded shape.
SMN – an unpadded, sheer balconette bra. This is a version of the SM style with additional decoration, such as decorative straps.
Top Miekki – a soft crop top made out of two layers of stable knitwear, with no wires and no defined cup shape.
NB: Not all of these styles are currently manufactured by Ewa Michalak, but you may be able to find them second hand or elsewhere.

Ewa Michalak Sizing
Ewa Michalak has a HUGE size range that spans UK 28 to 60 bands and AA to NN cups. Not every style will be available in these sizes, but they are able to offer custom sizing options if they have enough material or resources, including smaller band sizes such as UK 26 (EM 55). They may also be able to custom make an S, M, PL or CHP style bra in a different style. It’s always worth asking!
Generally you’ll find that the cup sizes in Ewa Michalak are the equivalent of your UK size. Band sizes are a little more tricky as they don’t translate perfectly to UK sizing but the below might give something of a guideline. It’s worth checking out their calculator and some reviews in your size range to make sure that you’re choosing the best size for you.
- UK 28 > EM 60
- UK 30 > EM 65
- UK 32 > EM 70
- UK 34 > EM 75
- UK 36 > EM 80
- UK 38 > EM 85
- UK 40 > EM 90
- UK 42 > EM 95
- UK 44 > EM 100
- UK 46 > EM 105
- UK 48 > EM 110
- UK 50 > EM 115
- UK 52 > EM 120
- UK 54 > EM 125
- UK 56 > EM 130
- UK 58 > EM 135
- UK 60 > EM 140

Other names
Figi – standard briefs. Ewa Michalak’s briefs tend to sit somewhere between bikini and boy short style, with a higher waistband than you’d expect from UK briefs and more of a boy short cut.
Figi Korygujace – shaping briefs. These are described as “slightly corrective”, meaning they have a higher level of support than normal briefs.
Figi Wysokie – high waisted briefs. These usually have a higher cut on the leg and sit around your belly button.
Figi Do Kostiumi – swimwear briefs to match the bikini tops Ewa Michalak sells.
Podwiazki – self-supporting elasticated lace garters.
Stringi – thong. Some of the styles are normal waist, others are high waist.
Stringi/figi – a cross between a thong and a brief, similar to a Brazilian style brief.

Fantastic post! Can you also make a guide for Comexim?
I’ll have a look and see what I can do! I’ve only tried a couple of Comexim’s styles, but I know they don’t have as much variation, so I’ll see if I can chat to them and get some more info 🙂
Agreed! Thanks for putting in the work to do this!
