I’ve tried to restrain myself from creating a lingerie wishlist for Christmas – believe me, I really have! – but it’s just not happening. Particularly after buying myself lingerie from 4 different places on Black Friday (stay tuned for reviews of the pieces I bought – I loved them all!). I thought I might have got my lingerie-buying impulses out of my system for this season, but apparently not!
I’ve actually already even created a Christmas gift guide for lingerie from the high street but that didn’t get it out of my system.
So here I am, disguising this Christmas lingerie wishlist for myself as a gift guide. Maybe it’ll give you or your partner some ideas for Christmas or maybe it’s just more pretties to add to your “one day” list like me!
I’ve tried to focus this list on being UK based where I can and have picked out a few brands we haven’t shared on the blog before, so you might find some new-to-you brands.
First up, at the top of the post are these crazy awesome briefs with braces from Nichole de Carle – they’re highly impractical (how on earth do you go to the toilet while wearing these?!) but they’re stunningly designed. Plus they’re reduced to half price, £75 down to £37.50. For such a well-designed piece, that’s a bargain!
This is my absolute dream lingerie set in a couple of variations. These sets are both from the Kizette collection at Bordelle. The teal set has the Soft Triangle Bra (£130) and Adjustable Suspender Belt (£205); the beige has the Balconette Wire Bra (£195) and the Longline Suspender (£225). I honestly can’t decide whether I prefer the bold and art deco style of the teal or the delicate and vintage look of the beige. But (sadly!) I can’t afford any of these right now so I don’t have to make that decision! I’ve actually decided I’m going to save up for one of these though – wish me luck!
This pretty floaty top looks like perfect loungewear, at least for when you don’t have to answer the door! I bet it looks super pretty layered over other lingerie pieces. On top of that, it’s handmade just down the road in Leicestershire.
I only recently discovered Dora Larsen who describe their pieces as “colourful lingerie designed in London”. I often end up falling back on black in my lingerie, but I much prefer pretty pastels like this set. Plus it’s made in London – always a good thing in my books!
I’m getting really into nightwear and loungewear at the moment as I love something pretty and comfortable to wear when I get in from work, and I feel like this slip is just the epitome of it. Although I imagine it’s actually designed as a slip to go under clothes. I don’t own anything in this show stopping purple shade, plus it’s again manufactured in the UK.
More nightwear, but this time in cozy cotton rather than luxurious silk. AmaElla is a brand I only came across recently but I plan to buy from them very soon. Their pieces are ethically made in London by a not for profit enterprise that promotes the learning and development of skills within the fashion industry – this is an intriguing concept! The cotton is also fair-trade and organic. On top of that it looks pretty and comfy. Winner!
And another new-to-me brand that’s using organic cotton to create their pieces! I’m a little bit enamoured with robes right now – it’s a bit too chilly to wear my lingerie and nightwear without! The ikat print and bold contrasting colours are stunning.
I came across Beija London earlier this year via an advert on Facebook and I was pleasantly surprised by this new brand. Their unique concept is to offer bra styles in X, Y and Z categories – X is bralette styles for smaller busts sized more generically; Y is designed for busts in B-D cup sizes; Z is for the larger bust sizes, DD to G cups. A brand couldn’t fit our blog any better! Annoyingly I fell in love with an X bralette style (typical!) but I still love this Wave Z bra and really hope to try one soon – luckily their prices are very good, particularly for a new brand offering a unique concept.
SERIOUS lingerie lust here – just LOOK at that flowing fabric and ballet inspiration. What more could you want in a robe?! Catherine D’Lish has been a dream brand of mine for a while, but I think I may finally take the plunge with this one. It appeared on Facebook today and I had to share it on our Facebook page straight away (psst, we share exclusive bits over there occasionally, so make sure to like the page!). If you buy this as a gift for anyone for Christmas, they will love you forever. Serious.
What a beautiful selection! Thank you so much for featuring the Marlene camisole!
You have great taste in lingerie.
I like the negligee made from organic cotton by AmaElla. 🙂
